Police also report spate of catalytic converter thefts.
Thieves are trying to beat the pinch at the pumps by syphoning fuel from cars and stealing exhaust parts.
Police are warning motorists living in Clophill and the surrounding area to make sure their vehicles are secure, after a spate of fuel thefts.

Almost 20 cars, ranging from Skodas to Jaguars, have been targeted by thieves since the beginning of April.
The catalytic converters have been cut from cars mainly parked on commercial premises.
Anyone with information about these thefts should contact Bedfordshire Police, in confidence, on 01234 841212. Alternatively call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
