Whether it be performing on stage or the internet, a multi-talented schoolgirl is enjoying no small success.

Adrienne Even is just 16 and is set to perform in Sleeping Beauty with the English Youth Ballet, while her self-penned music video is racking up views on YouTube.

From an early age, Adrienne has studied dance, and for the past four years has been singing and writing her own songs.

She said: “I started dancing when I was four. I once thought I didn’t like dancing and tried to stop, but I couldn’t, and I realised how much I loved it.

“The English Youth Ballet is very disciplined but I like that because you learn so much in each lesson, or rehearsal.”

Adrienne, who is a pupil at Redbourne Upper School, started playing the guitar when she was about 11.

She said: “I really liked Taylor Swift, who writes her own songs.

“My dad got me a guitar for Christmas, but I don’t have lessons, I taught myself the chords.”

Her first song, written when she was 12, was called Watching You Leave, inspired by a friend who moved to America.

She said: “My latest song is called Too Far, and it’s about when you are in a relationship but just get carried away and ruin it. But even so, it’s about how you should just follow your heart.”

Adrienne, who lives in Millbrook, attends the Maurice Kachuk School of Dancing each week to study ballet, tap and modern, but is keeping her options open regarding her future.

She said: “There are so many things I like, I don’t know what to do in the future.
