An evil ogre, a princess and a special cat called Hemingway - it can only be Puss In Boots purring to audiences this week at Wootton village hall.

Wootton Country Players presents the seasonal panto, by Stephen Gordon-Wilson, from Thursday, December 11 until Sunday, December 14.

Shek’s cousin the evil ogre, Thunderclap, is making the lives of the people of Wootton a nightmare. Even King and Queen Grimm are under his control. Then along comes our hero Colin, and his special cat Hemingway, to seek the hand of the princess and banish the evil Thunderclap.

The Queen is very modern and throughout will be taking selfies with members of the audience which will be posted on the Country Players website making this an interactive panto.

The show is at Wootton Village Hall, Church Road, with performances at 7.30pm, with a matinee on Saturday, December 13 at 2.30pm.
