Teenager is charged with string of betting shop robberies

A 17 year old boy has been charged with six counts of robbery from bookmakers.

The six alleged robberies happened at betting shops in Beds and Herts including Ladbrokes in Flitwick on October 6.

The teenager, from London, is due to appear at Hatfield Magistrates’ Court this morning (Tuesday).

A 16 year old boy from London has also been arrested in connection with the incidents that occurred in St Albans on October 2 and 16.

He has been released on police bail until November 20.

A 26 year old, of Welwyn Garden City, who was arrested on October 5 in connection with the robbery in St Albans on October 2 has been police bailed until November 14.
