Teenager charged after stabbing

A teenager has been charged in connection with the attempted murder of a young man in Tavistock Street on Thursday.

The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with GBH with intent, being in possession of a criminal weapon and criminal damage.

Another person, who also arrested, has been bailed while investigations continue.

Beds Police are still looking for a third person in connection with the incident.

A 20-year-old man was stabbed at around 7pm on Thursday in Boswell Place at the back of Tavistock Street on Thursday.

He has been treated for a stab wound at Bedford Hospital.
