The Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire branch of the British Driving Society is holding an event at Twintrees Equestrian Centre, Northill, on Saturday, June 6 at 2pm.

Members of the society will be on hand with vehicles and ponies to demonstrate how to hold the reins and harnessing, and to give advice on learning to drive, types of carts and carriages, equipment, training your horse or pony.

Area commissioner Linda Swain said: “Carriage driving is an ideal pastime for all the family to enjoy and can provide a brilliant second career for a much-loved family pony that has been outgrown.”

This is a free event – but donations will be most welcome. Contact Linda Swain on 07850 706978 or visit www.bedsbh.britishdrivingsociety.co.uk
