Adventure and dining are often mentioned in the same breath by foodies when gushing over exotic ingredients or new ways to present food.
Now, one eatery is offering you a real-life adventure by encouraging you to walk through a park by torch and lamplight to get to your delicious dinner.
The Pavilion, in Bedford Park, is launching its new season of Supper Club events, which promise to reward the diner with superb cooking.
Over the past few months David Ghallagher, Emma Garrett and Nansi Rose have bought the pavilion building back to life, first by opening the Window-At-The-Park cafe, then by revamping the main room and terrace. Beautiful crockery and furniture by TV upcycling expert Max McMurdo are a feast for the eye, while chef Jonathan Goodwin takes care of your taste buds.
Jonathan said: “Supper Clubs are a very special dining experience, and we are pioneering the concept in Bedford. Not only does it give me an opportunity to be creative in the kitchen, but to spend an evening with like-minded foodies in what I think is one of the most beautiful locations in Bedford.”
The menu will feature locally-sourced ingredients, and will cater for special dietry requirements. The events are BYO with a £3 corkage charge per bottle.
