Store in Sharnbrook re-opens after investment of almost £250,000

The Co-operative store in Sharnbrook which re-opens today, Thursday, April 2, following an investment of almost £250,000 to transform the shop.

The High Street store has been redefined with an enhanced bakery range, and a focus on fresh, healthy foods and essentials.

The store is also to launch a Community Pioneer scheme, where a member of the food store will also work to foster involvement and participation in community activities, from local fundraising to helping to understand and develop solutions for the area.

Vicky Haw, Operations Manager for The Co-operative food in the area, said: “We are thrilled to have made such a significant investment in our Sharnbrook store, and delighted that we have a fantastic new-look food store with which to serve the community – it is an exciting time for the whole team.

“The Co-operative is a community retailer, and we are committed to playing an active role in local life, embracing the area’s community spirit. The store will be a hub for the local community, and customers will be able to find out what is going on locally, and learn about how The Co-operative can benefit local groups.
