Sports centre hosts open day to raise funds for hospice that looked after worker’s nan

Cash is still coming in following a fundraising charity day at Sharnbrook Sports Centre.

The event for St John’s Hospice in Moggerhanger included fun fitness classes, a cake sale, gym challenges, personal training sessions, running workshops and competitions like guess the number of sweets in the jar. £5 of the joining fee for anyone who signed up on the day went to the good cause.

The charity was chosen by gym worker Nathan Davis, whose nan spent her last few days at the hospice.

So far £408 has been raised by the total is still climbing and to inspired people to donate the gym has promised that staff will complete challenges like burpees and ice baths on the fitness venue’s tenth anniversary on April 24.

The more cash raised the harder the challenges become.
