Three charities in Bedfordshire are among 1,000 around the UK to benefit from a campaign run by a building society.

Keech Hospice Care, Bedford Foodbank and Cerebral Palsy Physiotherapy Centre were among those to be given a £100 donation after being nominated at the Yorkshire Building Society’s agency in Flitwick for the Small Change Big Difference campaign.

The Society’s Charitable Foundation has donated a total of £100,000 to charities and good causes nominated by people during the campaign.

Carol Tarver, agency manager, said: “I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came in to nominate a charity for a donation during our Small Change Big Difference campaign.

“At Yorkshire Building Society we are committed to our community and I hope these donations will enable the charities to carry on their wonderful work here in Bedfordshire.”
