More volunteers are needed at Sight Concern Bedfordshire which has celebrated the long service of some of their loyal supporters at a tea party.
Those awarded account for more than 100 years of making a valuable contribution to the quality of visually impaired people`s lives in the local community. Their roles vary from home visitor, social club organiser, low vision service, IT support, telephone befriending and board director.
Sight Concern Bedfordshire is an independent, local charity providing support, information and advice to people living with sight loss
Volunteers provide much needed company, connectedness and information to people who are often isolated and alone. If you are supportive, patient and a good listener or keen to learn these new skills through ongoing support and training, you could help make a difference to visually impaired people’s lives gain satisfaction of playing a part in this beneficial service.
