A service of remembrance will be held on Sunday in memory of people that have been killed on roads in Beds, Herts and Cambs.
This year’s service, at Bedford’s St Paul’s Church from 3pm, will be hosted by the Road Victims Trust - a Kempston charity that provides emotional and practical support to those affected by road death in the area.
Chief executive Mark Turner said: “The devastation and pain inflicted by road death is immeasurable. Each day five people are killed on roads in the UK with many, many more seriously injured.
“The service will be extremely moving yet inspiring at the same time. I welcome anyone along to the church to pay their respects and show their support for those who are living with the trauma of a road death.”
