Service at St Paul’s Church to commemorate the Queen’s landmark day

The county is to commemorate the day when the Queen becomes the longest reigning British monarch.

Residents are invited to a service of prayers and thanksgiving by HM Lord-Lieutenant of Bedfordshire, Helen Nellis, on September 9 at St Paul’s Church, Bedford, at 7.30pm. Seating will be unreserved and the congregation is asked to be seated by 7.15pm. The Bishop of Bedford will take the service, which is expected to be attended by leaders of different faith communities. Worship will be led by the church choir and a special peal of bells will be rung.
