Police are searching for a man who miraculously walked away from a horror crash in Clapham.

The driver lost control of his Ford Puma car in Paula Radcliffe Way on Saturday, (November 7) at around 2.30pm.

His vehicle left the road, rolled and then smashed into an electricity pylon.

The man left the scene before the emergency services arrived but a member of the public took a picture of him before he fled.

Police are concerned for his health due to the severity of the damage to the car.

The car was not registered, taxed or insured, which means officers have been unable to trace him.

PC Martin Lent said: “It is astonishing that the driver was able to walk away from this crash but we have real concerns that he may have suffered internal injuries.

“Our priority is his health and I would urge him to come forward to police. I would also appeal to anyone who knows who he is, or who witnessed the collision, to contact us.”
