The school marked the anniversary milestone by holding and evening of celebration where past and present students and staff got together to share their experiences and celebrate the success of the school.

Current arts award students worked with the film company Run Away Media to create a film about the school’s journey.

More than 200 guests were entertained by musical performances from existing pupils and Mr Santaniello - a former pupil - gave a speech on his time at the school.

Guests were invited to look at memorabilia from the school’s history over a celebratory drink in the school’s courtyard.

Principal at Goldington Academy Mr Galbraith said: “It’s been a delight to work with so many students on this project. Unless we understand our History we can’t plot our future. It was wonderful to see the pleasure this event brought to so many with a love of Goldington Academy.”
