More than £10,000 has been pledged following Bedford’s Santa run, which took place on the Embankment on Sunday, December 6, and some runners are pictured.

The 5k event, raising cash for Keech Hospice Care, saw 350 of our festive friends take part, which took the route of twice around the Embankment.

A spokeswoman for the hospice said: “As the children’s hospice for Bedfordshire and as a charity, this is a fantastic early total and we would like to thank all of the Santa runners for supporting their local hospice. It really makes a huge difference as Keech depends on 70% of its funding to come from the community for its survival.”
