Santa put his foot to the pedal and joined others in the saddle for a special Family Cycle Santa Ride organised by Bedford Borough Council and Sustrans.
The Christmas Cyclists followed a three mile circular off road route along the river starting and finishing at Priory park visitors Centre. The ride, on Saturday, December 20, included a stop off at the Mill Meadows Bandstand where Santa handed out some special cycling related gifts.
Once back at the visitor centre cyclists were able to tuck into some hot soup, cakes and other festive fare while children were entertained by games
Sustrans project officer Julian Windross said: “It was great to see so many people all dressed up and out cycling on a beautiful sunny winters morning and I can’t wait to do it again.”
