A 16 mile run in Bedford will raise awareness of domestic violence.

Organised by Bedfordshire Domestic Abuse Partnership, the run tomorrow (Thursday) will mark the end of 16 days of campaigning.

The 16 runners will pass key agencies that support victims of domestic and sexual abuse, raising awareness of the multi-agency approach in Bedfordshire.

Some are running the entire route, while others are taking on four mile sections.

Runners are from Central Beds Council, Bedford Borough Council, Beds Police, Beds Fire and Rescue Service, 4Children Children’s Centres, Victim Support and Places for People.

The run starts at Barkers Lane Fire Station at 10am and will finish on Bedford’s Embankment at around 1.15pm.
