With 46 per cent of all grades at A* or A, Kimbolton School is celebrating another bumper year of A Level results. 15.6% of the results were at the top A* grade.

27 students, over a quarter of the year group, gained at least three A*/As.

The A*-B rate, the level so closely tied to entry to the top universities, was 78%.

James Ellison from Brigstock and Daniel Parekh-Hill from Alconbury Weston both achieved 4A* grades.

James has a place to read Natural Sciences at Peterhouse College, Cambridge, while Daniel will be studying Economics at the London School of Economics.

Having gained 3A* grades, Harriet Poulter (Aldwincle) is off to Bristol University to read English.

Other top performers included Joshua Daniels-Holgate (Islip), Joshua Gardner (Upper Dean), Matthew Hill (Little Staughton), Will James and Francesca Wilson (both Brampton), Madeleine Kluth (Great Gransden) Emily Mott (Morborne) and Leo Penrose (Little Gransden) who all achieved at least 2A*s and one A.

A further 17 students gained at least one A*.

Jonathan Belbin, the Headmaster said, “I am delighted with this strong set of results, reflecting the hard work of our students and staff across the spectrum.

“Just as important, however, are the personal qualities and additional interests that our students have gained, meaning that they are equipped not just for top universities but also the world of work beyond.”
