Police are looking for any witnesses who saw someone break into the Bumble Bee public house between 12.30am and 7.45am on the morning of Wednesday, September 24.

Gary Maxey, investigating said: “During the late night or early morning of Wednesday, 24 September, someone has smashed a small side window of the Bumble Bee pub in Coniston Road, Flitwick and then broken into the fruit machines inside the pub and stolen cash from them.

“Were you in the area around the pub during the late night or early morning of

Wednesday 24 September? The pub is near Tescos and the Village Hall and Park, so someone shopping or passing by might have seen something. We’d be interested to hear from you if you saw anyone hanging around the pub during these times or, as cash was stolen from fruit machines, anyone in the area carrying a lot of change.”

Anyone with information relating to this incident can contact Gary Maxey, in confidence, at Bedfordshire Police on 101, or text information to 07786 200011.

Alternatively you can contact the independent crime fighting charity, Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
