A good cause has joined forced with a bus company to launch a poster fundraising campaign.

The Road Victims Trust, which marks its 20th anniversary this year, has teamed up with Grant Palmer Ltd to display powerful posters on the back of 15 buses that run across the county.

The trust provides free emotional and practical support to those affected by serious road accidents in Beds, Cambs and Herts.

Last year alone, the charity helped more than 200 people.

Chief executive of the trust, Mark Turner, said “Each year more than 80 people are killed on the roads across the three counties that we cover. The Road Victims Trust is there to support the families, friends and witnesses of the collisions. People’s lives are absolutely devastated in the blink of an eye. I want the public to recognise the plight of the victims and to help the Trust to continue to provide its services. A small donation really can make a big difference. We are hugely grateful to all at Grant Palmer who have given such wonderful support”.

The poster, depicting road death through a child’s eyes, asks the public to donate the price of a bus fare to the good cause.
