Police officer arrested during investigation into organised crime
Officer was detained as part of Operation Landslide before being released without charge
A Bedfordshire police officer has been arrested as part of an investigation into organised crime.
The officer was detained as part of Operation Landslide, which is cracking down on drug dealing and money laundering in the county.
He was arrested on suspicion of offences surrounding the investigation, but was later released without charge.
The officer will now return to work pending an enquiry by the professional standards department.
He will also be subject to internal disciplinary proceedings.
Another police officer from Northampton was also arrested and was also released witrhout charge.
