Police hunt man over stabbing
Officers take the unusual step of releasing a photograph of a man they want to interview following a suspected domestic-related incident.
Police have released a photograph of a man they want to interview following a stabbing.
Officers want to talk to Daljit Sondhi, 26, of St Helenas Gardens, Elstow, following what is thought to be a domestic incident in The Broadway, Bedford, on Tuesday at 9.18pm.
A 19-year-old woman was stabbed and taken to Bedford Hospital South Wing where she received stitches to a throat wound.
Mr Sondhi is described as being of Asian appearance, about 5ft 9ins tall and of slim build. He was last seen wearing a brown sweatshirt, black combat trousers and training shoes.
DS Steve Facer said extensive enquires to find Mr Sondhi had so far been unsuccessful.
He added: "If anyone sees Mr Sondhi, they should not approach him but instead immediately contact Bedfordshire Police.
"We would ask Mr Sondhi to contact us as soon as possible so we can establish how this woman sustained her injuries and why. We are also concerned about his welfare."
