Police are still trying to track down the driver of a car that was involved in a collision with a cyclist leaving him with life changing injuries.

Dad Balraj Bhangle - known as Bali - suffered a punctured lung, broken ribs, internal bleeding and had to have his spleen removed after colliding with a red car at around 9.45am on Saturday, May 9 along Brickhill Drive at the roundabout with Kestrel Road in Bedford.

It is believed that Bali, who was cycling home from work, was clipped by the car.

Whilst in hospital the 51 year old has developed pneumonia.

Sgt Chris Smith said: “We are keen to trace the driver of a small red car which was in the area at the time of this incident, as they may have information which can assist our investigation.

“We would also be keen to hear from anyone who witnessed this collision, which left a man very seriously injured.”
