Three people were rushed to hospital after a police van responding to an emergency call collided with a car.
The accident happened just before 11am today (Tuesday) on the A421 at Marston as police officers, travelling with blue lights on, were responding to an urgent call for assistance.
Three sixth form students from Wootton Upper School and Arts College who were travelling in a Vauxhall Corsa suffered serious, but not life-threatening, injuries. Two of them had to be cut free from the car by firefighters.
Two police officers travelling in the van suffered minor injuries and also received hospital treatment.
An investigation into the accident by the independent police watchdog, the IPCC, is now underway.
