Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward following a spate of burglaries in Flitwick on Tuesday (February 19).

Guns, ammunition and jewellery were stolen from a property in Willow Way sometime between 7.25pm and 8.30pm, as reported on last week on our website.

But police now inform us there were also three other burglaries in the town on the same day

Between 6pm and 11pm two properties in Hatfield Road were targeted by burglars.

The offenders forced open the back door of the first property and carried out a search before

leaving empty handed.

They also gained entry a neighbouring property but as yet it is unclear if anything was stolen.

Between 3.30pm and 9.50am the following morning offenders broke into a home in Millfield

They carried out a search of the property but again left without taking any items.

Detective Constable Tracey Litchfield, who is investigating these incidents, is keen to hear from anyone who was in the area and may have seen anything suspicious at any of the locations.

DC Litchfield said: “While we are keeping an open mind about this series of break-ins, I would urge anyone who has information or may have seen anything suspicious in the Flitwick area last Tuesday to get in touch.

“A lot of people have been left very distressed by what has happened and even the smallest piece of information could assist us with our enquiries.”
