A high speed chase through a village had to be abandoned by officers because it was too risky.

Police pursued a black Audi 2.0T after it was seen racing with a black VW Golf along the A428 past Great Denham towards Bromham at around 2pm on Thursday, October 15.

Officers chased the Audi through Biddenham at high speed but the pursuit was called off due to the risk to public safety.

The car travelled along Deep Spinney, Gold Lane, High Street and Biddenham Turn, while the VW turned off back towards Great Denham and has not yet been identified.

PC Nathan Peters said: “The vehicles were driven at extremely high speeds and the crime was committed in a residential area, putting members of the public at significant risk. I am keen to speak to anyone who saw what took place or anyone who has information about either of the cars involved.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Peters on 101 or call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
