Pat Bull celebrated 60 years of continuous singing with the Kempston Musical Society with a slice of cake.

Pictured cutting the chocolate cake, she was presented with an engraved cup to mark the milestone by musical director Janet Welsh.

The group, which celebrated its centenary in 2005, has around 95 adult members, who meet once a week to rehearse both secular and sacred light music, mostly in four-part harmonies.

Since registering as a charity back in 2007, the group’s concerts have raised more than £18,000 for local churches and other good causes.

New members are always welcome and rehearsals are held on Thursday evenings. To find out more contact membership secretary Mary Frost by emailing mary_frost1211@yahoo.co.uk
