Visitors tried their hand at making catapults and pipe cleaner figures at a special event organised by Bedfordshire Youth United.
It was to showcase the opportunities that abound for young people across the county.
Bedfordshire Youth United comprises 10 uniformed organisations and was launched last year by Lord Lieutenant Helen Nellis.
Bedfordshire High Sheriff The Countess of Erroll spent time at the event in the town centre talking to young people and adult volunteers and saluted all the options available.
There will be further showcases of BYU at the Ampthill Festival in July and in Luton in October. For more information visit www.youthunited.org.uk/regions/youth-united-bedfordshire
