Norman the golden eagle who has been flying free for more than two week is back with his handler.

The huge bird of prey was spotted earlier today (Monday) in Barton and was lured down with a dead rabbit by Allen Smith.

Norman was on loan to Allen when he took flight from his workplace in Flitwick on Friday, January 9.

The handler said when Norman grabbed hold of the meat he managed to get hold of the straps that were still on his feet and put him in his car.

Norman had been spotted in a number of locations around the area, at one point eating a pheasant near Barton.
