Novelli to move in at The French Horn
Celebrity chef takes over village gastropub.
Celebrity chef Jean-Christophe Novelli will take control of The French Horn at Steppingley from May.
The Michelin-star chef, who often appears on TV, is building on the success of his first gastropub, the White Horse in Harpenden, which opened in 2006.
A spokesman said The French Horn, "will provide two dining options – for the destination diner a 60-seater restaurant, and for the casual regular a cosy snug bar area", offering a selection of draft beers, international wine list and comforting bar food.
Novelli's right-hand man, Wesley Smalley, will take the helm.
