His replacement Dr Terry Messenger will be officially introduced to the Bromham Road congregation on January 2 but he will be attending the annual Christmas Carol Service on Sunday (December 20).

“I am looking forward to my new assignment of being minister for the Bedford Seventh-day Adventist Church. I hope to carry on the good work started by my predecessor,” he said.

“I hope to be able to forge meaningful links with the local community with the support of my wife Lynette and at the same time for the church to continue to demonstrate the love of Christ to the people of Bedford.”

Mr Messenger is the outgoing executive secretary of the South England Conference of Seventh-day Adventists at the headquarters in Watford.
