A new garden room and conservatory has been unveiled by The Park Pub and Kitchen on Kimbolton Road, Bedford.
Run by Little Gems Country Dining, The Park was named Town Pub of the Year in The Good Pub Guide 2014, and is renowned for its great atmosphere, varied menu full of freshly cooked food and central location
Little Gems Country Dining in partnership with Charles Wells Pub Company has invested in extending the pub and adding two new purpose built areas for customers to enjoy whether rain or shine.
Steve Wilkins, founder of Little Gems Country Dining said: “We knew we needed to add more dining space but wanted to create a versatile area which could be used for all occasions. The Garden Room was the perfect solution; opening out to the courtyard area it is perfect for summer but is also separate from the main restaurant so would be great for private functions.
“As part of the extension project we also decided to rebuild our popular conservatory area at the pub to create a new bar lounge for customers. We’re really pleased with the final result of the work, not only do we have more space, but we can offer customers a real variety of different environments to enjoy a relaxing meal or drink.
The garden room can seat 32 and has been given a fresh, contemporary look with a traditional twist and the new conservatory has been kitted out with a long communal table, dining tables and comfy sofas. Both rooms are also available to hire for parties and functions.
Peter Wells, managing director of Charles Wells Pub Company said: “Little Gems Country Dining and the team at The Park do a fantastic job of offering customers a truly great experience whether it’s for a homecooked meal, a drink with friends or at one of their popular fundraising nights.
“We’re delighted to be able to support the team by adding an extension to the pub and refurbishing the conservatory area to further enhance the great service and atmosphere at The Park”.
In addition to its new rooms, The Park also updates its menu every six to eight weeks and will soon be revealing a new range of dishes for the summer.
Steve added: “We are really proud of our menu; it is freshly made from local ingredients which is really important to us. As far as we’re concerned the more local the ingredients, the better and it’s a little known fact that we actually accept home-grown vegetables as payment so would welcome fresh produce from green-fingered customers!”
The new rooms were officially opened at a launch event on Thursday, June 26.
