Anyone for tennis?

Bedford Lawn Tennis club in Queens Park will be opening its doors to anyone wanting to try tennis for free on Sunday, May 17.

The club will be holding a fun open day as part of the national Great British Tennis Weekend campaign, and anyone is welcome to come down and have a ‘smashing’ time!

Club coach Nimer El-Saleh will be at the club from 2pm to 5pm to give free advice and guidance. Nimer will be supported on the day by local Community Sports Activator Sarah Riaz.

Sarah said: “The courts are a hidden gem here in Queens Park, tucked away behind the hockey centre. We are hoping the open day will encourage people to come down and play a game. It’s all free and open to any age or ability.” .

The Great British Tennis Weekend is organised by
the nation Lawn Tennis Association.
