A musician is set to fight for his title of best singer/songwriter in national talent contest Bling Ya Ting.
Andrew Tulloch, who goes by the stage name of Tucky Tulloch, is heading back to Cambridge Corn Exchange on March 27 to take part in the finals of the competition in the singer/songwriter category, which he won last year.
Tucky, 34, of Flowerdale Walk, will sing several of his own original songs to a panel of judges and an audience of around 1,000 people.
If he is crowned the winner for the second year running he will be accepted onto a talent agency and receive mentoring to help further his music career.
Tucky said: “I try to get myself out there as much as possible, both in the local area and further afield.
“I entered last year and I won, so I thought why not give it a go again?
“I do feel quite confident because they obviously thought I was good to make me the winner last year and I have got quite far in other competitions as well, but it will all depend on the other talents there is this year.”
Tucky, a warehouse worker, has been writing songs since he was eight years old. He performs acoustic with his guitar and his music ranges from blues, R&B, soul, and rock.
