A woman was indecently assaulted yesterday (Thursday) as she walked along with her young children on her way to pick up another child from school.

The 31 year old woman was walking in an alleyway near Avon Rise, Flitwick, at about 3.30pm, pushing a pushchair, when a man ran up behind her and pulled down her jogging trousers and underwear.

He then slapped her bottom before running off in the direction of Avon Rise.

The man said nothing before or after the incident.

Detective Constable Richard Adam said: “The woman reported the offence immediately and when officers got to her, they found that she and her children were understandably very upset.

“We have not had reports of this sort of thing happening in the area and obviously are keen to hear from anyone who may have information to help us catch the man.

“Someone may recognise the description, have seen someone like this hanging about in the area, or indeed may have been approached by him in previous days and not yet reported that to the police,

“If you have any information at all, even if you think it is not significant, then please give us a call as we don’t want other people to have to ensure this sort of behaviour.”

The man is described as between 15 and 17 years old, white, with dark brown hair and bushy eyebrows, about 5ft 8ins tall, wearing a grey hooded top and tracksuit bottoms with white trainers.
