A runner hopes to enter the record books by being the first London Marathon finisher dressed as The Mona Lisa.
Gemma Kirkham, of Russell Avenue, Bedford, has been training for three months in a 1m-by-80cm print of the Da Vinci masterpiece.
The mother-of-three has taken on the challenge to raise money for the Lullaby Trust, which supports families who have experienced a sudden infant death (SIDS).
She said: “From the friends I’ve made over the years, I became aware of SIDS and the tragic effect it can have. A couple of years ago, I wore the Mona Lisa frame to a hen do and got loads of attention, so I’ve decided to use it as a force for good at next year’s London Marathon.”
