Motorists are being urged to be vigilant after valuable property was stolen from the boots of two cars parked in Wymington.

Thieves broke into the cars before stealing two rare Porsche wheels from one and a box of 1970s style telephones from the other.

Both thefts happened between 2pm on Tuesday, January 6 and 9am the following day.

There have also been some similar offences in the nearby Rushden area.

A police spokesman said: “We would urge people not to keep valuable items in their vehicle when it is parked up.

“We are keen to hear from anyone with any information about these thefts or any suspicious activity in the area.”

Anyone with any information should call police on 101, text information to 07786 200011 or call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
