Rehearsals are underway for Bedford’s annual charity performance of Handel’s Messiah.
The concert, performed by the Bedford Messiah Choir, will raise money for this year’s chosen cause, the Prebend Day Centre.
Choir chairman Roland Carpenter said: “We are pleased to support the centre in light of its recent difficulties in raising sufficient funds to sustain its excellent work for the homeless and rootless in Bedford.”
The choir was founded in 1937 when members of Bedford’s churches came together to perform the work.
The concert is on Saturday, November 29, in the Bunyan Meeting, Mill Street, at 7.30pm.
