Doctor Who fans can meet stars from the long running series, find out about the television show’s special effects and learn how to move like a monster.

Bedford’s Foodbank is hosting a day dedicated to the famous time lord this Saturday (April 11) at The King’s House in Ampthill Road.

Three of the doctor’s companions - Peri, Polly and Ace - actresses Nicola Bryant, Anneke Wills and Sophie Aldred will be there.

Terry Molloy, also known as Davros, and John Leeson - the voice of K9 - will be coming too.

Writer Paul Cornell will be talking about his working and BAFTA award-winning special effects designer Mike Tucker is doing a presentation on Doctor Who’s effects.

Ailsa Berk, who teaches movement to the actors playing the show’s monsters, will be leading an alien-movement workshop.
