Space-loving students are invited to Cranfield this weekend, where record-breaking astronaut NASA Michael Foale will be at the University.

Michael will lead a team of prize-winning scientists, engineers and NASA leaders to run ‘Mission Discovery’ for students aged 13–18 years, on March 7-8. The event will see youngsters work in teams to design a scientific experiment, with the winning team’s design being built and launched to the International Space Station. Astronauts will then conduct the experiment on behalf of the winning students.

Students will learn vital leadership and team work skills and also how to plan, budget and present their ideas, all within the context of space research.

To sign up to the event either apply through your school or as individuals, with places offered on a first come, first served basis. To apply, download an application form at www.stemcollege.co.uk/missiondiscovery or send an email to info@stemcollege.co.uk
