The Bedford Taekwondo Club has raised £540 for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.

Coach Adrian Felice said: “Normally known for spectacular kicks and rapid striking, practitioners of the popular martial art Taekwondo showed their charitable side by participating in a charity seminar. Hosted by the Bedford branch of IndomitableTKD Schools of Taekwondo, it attracting Taekwondoists from around the region.”

It was taught by 8th degree black and eight times Taekwondo Wold Champion, Master Ron Sergiew, who gave his time for free.

Beds Poppy Appeal community fundraiser Michael Lewis said: “It was really good to meet Adrian’s class and personally thank them for raising the money. Being an ex Paratrooper injured in Afghanistan it is fundraising events like this that make a difference to a soldiers recovery.”
