Man was kicked and punched during vicious robbery

A man was kicked and punched on the floor during a violent robbery along Bedford’s Embankment.

The victim, aged in his 30s, was approached from behind by two men on bicycles at around 10.40pm on Saturday, April 18.

One of them rode his bike into the back of the man’s leg causing him to fall to the ground where he was then kicked and punched.

The duo made off towards Cardington Road with the man’s wallet, leaving the victim requiring hospital treatment for head injuries.

Both men are described as white, in their 20s and around 6ft tall.

They were both wearing dark clothing and had scarves covering their faces.
