Man left with fractured jaw after being punched by teen who was out celebrating his school prom

A man’s jaw was fractured by a teenager thought to be out celebrating after his school prom.

The victim was out in Bedford’s High Street between 2.30am and 3am yesterday (Thursday) when he was confronted by a member of a group.

They had a row before the man was punched in the face causing a fracture to his jaw.

The offender is described by police as Asian, around 6ft tall, slim and aged around 19 years old.

Det Con Aroop Nandre said: “This was a nasty incident in which the victim suffered serious injuries.

“I would urge anyone who saw what happened or who knows who is responsible, to call police.”
