A 55 year old man is believed to have died from a gun shot wound at his home in Kempston.

Stephen Alan Roff, of Wood End Road, was discovered by paramedics and police on Monday morning (August 10).

A spokesman for Beds Police said: “We were called at 10.45am on Monday by the ambulance service, to concerns for a man’s welfare.”

He was pronounced dead at the scene and police say Mr Roff’s death is not being treated as suspicious.

The case has been passed to the coroner for Beds, who opened and adjourned the inquest into Mr Roff’s death yesterday (Thursday).

The initial cause of death has been listed as ‘Gun Shot Wound to Head (await toxicology)’.

A date for the full inquest hearing has not yet been set.
