Man airlifted to hospital after suffering fall

A man in his 60s is recovering after being airlifted to hospital yesterday after a fall.

The air ambulance was called to Oakley at around 2.42pm to attend to the injured man suffered injuries to hiis upper body after falling fall from height.

The helicopter crew assessed the patient and gave him pain relief, before accompanying him to Bedford Hospital. He was treated for his injuries but said to be in a stable condition.

The Helicopter team included chief pilot Richard Eastwood and crew member Simon Amos.

EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crews were also on the scene.
