Pupils at Turvey Lower School had an enjoyable time celebrating Healthy Living Week, where they learnt about which good food and the benefits of exercise.
They enjoyed a wide variety of activities, from learning to do a Bollywood dance with the help from KZdance in London, to having the privilege of learning about healthy foods with visitors from Waitrose and were also able to taste a selection.
They ended up fitter than when they started after a vigorous walk round Irchester Country Park and they all worked hard on field trip activities there too. The children had great fun taking part in the circus activities, where they tried juggling, tight-rope walking and other circus skills.
For the final bit of fun, they even took part in the British Heart Foundation Jump Off skipping to music for an hour, with a partner and with their friends. The children and staff all had a fantastic, action packed week.
