Look at this lovely lizard
Fun in colf blood at Edith Cavell Lower School
Look at this likely lad, well lizard actually, lovingly created by little learners at one Bedford school.
These youngsters at Edith Cavell Lower School, in Manton Lane, Bedford, teamed up with local artist Tony Williamson to create and fire the mosaic lizard, which has taken pride of place in their classroom.
The multi-coloured piece was designed and made as part of the pupil's project on Africa, which has seen them learning about animals, dance and involved a visit to Whipsnade Zoo.
Teacher Sara Wibberley's class has also been looking at examples of African jewellery, cooking and making their own instruments and safari packs.
There are more than 3,800 species of lizard living across the globe on every continent except Antarctica, with some growing to nine feet in length.
