Youngster hurt in bus collision

A young girl has been hospitalised following an earlier road traffic collision this morning, Friday, November 16.

The East of England Ambulance Service (EEAST) was alerted to Roff Avenue in Bedford shortly before 8.30am this morning (Friday).

An ambulance and a clinical operations manager attended the scene.

EEAST spokesman Gary Sanderson said: “The girl who we believe to be 9-years-old was treated, stabilised and immobilised at the roadside by ambulance crews, before she was taken to bedford Southwing hospital for further care.”

The injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.
