Woman who died in fire is named

The elderly woman who died in a house fire has been named.

Diane Robinson, 74, of High Street, Harrold, died after her bungalow caught fire on Wednesday at around 1pm.

The Beds and Luton Fire and Rescue Service were alerted to the scene after a friend visited the house and noticed flames coming from inside.

14 firefighters tackled the blaze and they pulled the occupant out, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.

An inquest was opened and adjourned today. Cause of death was listed as incineration.

The fire service are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
